Cast Iron Porn

I took off yesterday for my favorite outdoor flea market.  I was looking for a larger 12" cast iron dutch oven.  Unfortunately I didn't find one, and didn't find a lot of cast iron in general.  I hit the last aisle when I found a cart full of the rustiest cast iron I had ever seen.  I dug through to see if there was anything that could have been saved.  It seemed to me that most of the pots there if dropped on a hard surface would have just crumbled into orange dust.  It was a shame.  I did manage to make a small pile and if the man didn't ignore me completely I would have made an offer.  Getting near the end I saw some nice cast iron.  A large frying pan caught my eye, nicely seasoned no rust and no bare metal spots.  I have quite a few,  I forced myself to look away and that is when I saw the dutch oven.   I opened the lid and someone had placed a realistic toy of an animal in there that made me step back.  The booth owner and I had a good laugh, he didn't know it was in there.  It was before pre-seasoned and had the drip lid or self-basting lid if you prefer.  Great shape.  I tried to be semi-interested as I browsed the the rest of the booth then thought, who the hell am I kidding, it's getting late in the afternoon, I've dug through this whole place, I'm ready to go home.  I picked it up, paid the man (he took $5 off the price and I didn't even haggle)  and off I went.   I paid $30 and retail is $55.95.  It is a 10 1/4 4.75 inch 5QT.

I am happy with my new addition.  I have a Wagner that is the same size that I have had for the last 14 years.  Here they are side by side:

I told myself I no brooches when I went....I bought two.  They were cheap but I am so disgusted with myself that I am not posting pictures.  Today I will be cleaning and seasoning both of the dutch ovens, I do that when the weather starts to cool.  What to cook to christen my new to me dutch oven?
